Planning the Civil Ceremony in Santorini requires the obtainment of the certain list of legal documents that vary from country to country. Every case is different and the authorities can demand extra papers from you! You start to collect the listed papers not before than 3 months prior to the ceremony. Please send the scan of the papers to us to check that nothing extra is required in your personal case. After that the documents should be translated into the Greek Language by the official translators certified by the Greek Embassy. Of course, we can offer you the service of translation for extra cost. In this case we should get your original documents at least 4 weeks before the wedding. All the papers need to have an Apostille Stamp on them! Please note that the original documents will be kept at the Town Hall. We suggest you ask for a copy of your Birth Certificate to apply to our authorities! If you translate the papers on your own you have to me on the island couple of days before in order to apply the documents to the Town Hall. As well as you have to visit the Town Hall on the next day after the wedding to sign your Marriage License. In case you’re leaving the island we could be assigned to do it for you. Your Marriage Certificate will be obtained by us from the Town Hall and will be sent to you by the courier. The original Marriage License is in Greek, but it can be translated by us into English and other languages upon request!
